PROJECT ZETA

The People

We are four individuals (two couples) with different biographies, motivated by a common vision. We have combined our different professional experiences, our knowledge, our strengths and our enthusiasm to create an innovative project in the region. Our aim is to create a space in the unique landscape of East Pelion that will attract people from the region and beyond.

Giorgos Arvanitidis is a management consultant in transformation and change management. He studied political science and linguistics in Hanover, Germany. For 30 years he was a senior manager in organisations and multinational companies in Greece and abroad. With his long experience in running meetings, seminars and workshops, he knows first hand the needs of companies and organisations in this field. In collaboration with the Athens-based consulting company HR-Planning, he is organising and conducting seminars and workshops for business leaders at Project Zeta.

“Creativity, innovation, process and strategic thinking need spaces that inspire and support this process. Project Zeta is such a space.”

Alexandra Ioannidou (Dr rer soc) is a post-doc researcher at the German Institute for Adult Education in Bonn (DIE Bonn) and an expert in international comparative research on adult education and training systems. She has taught at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the Open University of Cyprus, served as a special advisor to the Minister of Education in Greece, and has numerous international academic publications. In 30 years of experience, she has research collaboration with universities in many countries and has been a member of advisory committees of the OECD and the European Union. Alexandra Ioannidou advises and supports Project Zeta on international partnerships, lifelong learning and modern methods of adult education and seminar planning.

“Albert Einstein once said: “When you stop learning, you start dying”. Lifelong learning is a prerequisite for the personal and professional development of people and for the development of companies, organisations and countries”.

Giorgos and Alexandra share their life between Zagora and Bonn in Germany.

Giorgos Stamos is an innovative hotelier in Zagora with a degree in Tourism Economics from the University of Bologna, Italy. At an early stage, he invested in the historical and natural uniqueness of the area, creating an original boutique hotel with “Archontiko Stamos” by restoring a dilapidated abandoned mansion. He is also involved in the rental and management of luxury villas throughout the East Pelion area. With twenty years of professional experience in tourism, hospitality and accommodation, George Stamos ensures the high quality of all services related to our guests’ accommodation, activities, transportation and general event organisation.

“Project Zeta is an innovation for tourism in the region. We are evolving with quality criteria and respect for nature and our cultural heritage, while offering a unique experience to our guests”.

Marina Hadjidai is an IT specialist and manager of a large number of holiday homes in East Pelion for both local and international guests. With her many years of IT and organisational experience, Marina ensures the organisation and smooth running of Project Zeta and the software systems it operates.

“Project Zeta not only expands the tourist potential of the region, but also adds a cultural and spiritual dimension”.

Giorgos and Marina live and work in Zagora and Volos respectively.
